I was looking for a transcription of that old Sam & Dave chestnut "I Thank You". The best 4 dollars I ever spent was for Greg's transcription of the tune by a group I never heard of called "The Commitments" Since I never heard of this group (Keep in mind that I have been accused of having my radio turned off since 1969) I turned to Google and discovered the whole Commitments story. I watched the movie and I thought it was one of the best movies I have seen since "Waking Ned Divine". I never would of found this masterpiece if it wasn't for finding Greg's transcription.
Again... One of the best movies I have seen. Sorry it took me 30 years to discover it...
I haven' seen or even heard of any of the movies you mentioned!? I've got some watching to do ;)
haha...I like your enthusiasm Michael :) I remember watching that movie for the first time. It made me want to play get up and play some soul/RnB! hehe... it's a good movie :) It makes me wonder if you've some other good music films? What about "Walk the Line", "Ray" or "Spinal Tap"? Thanks for the post and have fun! :)
